Requirements

High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred, with five or more years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least two years’ experience in a distribution or plant manager management role preferred
At least two years’ experience with industrial gas systems highly recommended

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of acetylene fill and requalification functions, including administrative duties, associate safety, plant and facility management, and equipment reliability
Ensure adherence to company policies, including safety and use of personal protective equipment
Investigate and report any injuries and accidents within 24 hours
Manage facility safety programs and culture, ensuring safety rules are observed, and safety training is scheduled, conducted, and documented
Operate and maintain plant, facility, vehicle, and equipment in compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
Coordinate with regional safety team for compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA, and state/local regulations; lead daily safety meetings
Initiate and document process upgrades/changes via Intelex management of change process
Manage and maintain ASU key operating documents, including procedures, forms, P&IDs, diagrams, and electrical one-lines
Adhere to group maintenance standards by executing predictive and preventative work orders to minimize downtime
Interpret job orders to drivers, assign duties, and schedule deliveries based on customer needs, current schedule, and supply availability
Represent company in traffic violations and handle fleet accident reporting
Track and report plant efficiency and reliability to achieve 99% or greater availability
Resolve problems associated with operations and personnel
Ensure plant and facilities are kept neat, clean, and orderly
Maintain hours within budget, manage work hours, and approve overtime in timekeeping system
Provide leadership to associates, including motivation, performance evaluation, coaching, feedback, goal communication, and leading team meetings/calls
Recruit, retain, and develop team to achieve positive results
Coordinate with other departments for seamless customer service
Provide coaching and corrective action to improve or release poor performers
Train new employees and cross-train associates for production continuity during shortages
Perform any reasonable work request within qualifications
