Requirements

Candidates must possess at least 10 years of project management experience with a proven track record of delivering large-scale capital projects in the power, energy, industrial, or nuclear sectors. Experience managing EPC firms, contractors, and regulators is essential. A strong understanding of full-lifecycle project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, execution, and turnover, is required. Experience with contract negotiations and commercial alignment is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Director/Senior Director of Project Management will lead the delivery of Oklo's first-of-a-kind projects, including powerhouses and fuel plants, across all phases from planning to handover. They will establish and manage the Project Management Office (PMO), developing and implementing standard methodologies, templates, and tools to ensure consistent project execution. This role involves owning integrated project schedules, budgets, and risk registers, creating financial forecasts, and tracking project progress against deadlines. The position requires providing regular reporting to senior management, executive leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders, and collaborating with various internal teams to align project delivery with business objectives. Additionally, the role includes identifying, assessing, and managing project risks, supporting contract negotiations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and recruiting, developing, and leading a high-performing project management team.
