Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field/experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of related progressive manufacturing operations site leadership experience in a multi-shift environment, managing multiple business functions
  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma a plus
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000
  • Proficiency in creating a Safety Culture
  • Ability to create followership and lead an organization through significant change and improvement
  • Financial analysis skills, including understanding and use of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, etc
  • Highly customer responsive
  • High volume assembly operations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, digital factory, and plant performance measures
  • Provide plant and team leadership through visioning, goals, expectations, performance management, coaching and communication, employee engagement, employee development, and employee relations
  • Provide leadership for root cause analysis and effective problem solving, yielding immediate and long-term corrective actions and sustainable enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations (e.g. OSHA), as well as all company policies and standards, including cost control, human resources, on-time delivery, quality, safety, and waste reduction
  • Manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand
  • Support the development of an accurate annual budget, effectively manage the budget, and provide analysis for forecasting changes
  • Effectively plan for, budget for, and manage operations headcount needs driving strong labor efficiencies
  • Identify, justify, communicate, and drive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects
  • Balance work cell loading across the plant and leverage strong material flow optimization opportunities
  • Continually benchmark best practices and drive effective application of the Stanley Black and Decker Production System (SPS), Industry 4.0 and upskilling of associates
