The Physician Panel Coordinator is responsible for maintaining Dane Street’s physician panel, negotiating physician fees within established guidelines, and onboarding new physicians in alignment with client needs. Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Physician recruitment experience within a healthcare or insurance setting.
  • Equivalent transferable skills will be considered.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare and/or insurance business environment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of physician networks and recruitment, medical specialties and terminology, and state and federal compliance guidelines.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
  • Strong time management and deadline adherence.
  • High computer literacy and typing proficiency required.
  • Must provide and maintain a reliable, uninterrupted internet connection.

Responsibilities

Panel Maintenance:

  • Understand client fee schedules and turnaround time (TAT) requirements to negotiate physician agreement terms.
  • Maintain existing physician records, including:
    • Profile instructions
    • Fee updates
    • Doctor groups
    • Activation/deactivation
    • W9/remit-to information
  • Research and conduct outreach to expand the physician panel as needed.

Onboarding New Physicians:

  • Perform administrative tasks related to panel maintenance and expansion.
  • Onboard new physicians based on client specifications.
  • Negotiate costs and contract terms within established guidelines.
  • Collect necessary documentation, including:
    • Physician agreements
    • Applications
    • CVs
    • W9 forms
    • NPDB reports
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to finalize physician fees.
  • Provide onboarding instructions and access information for Dane Street systems.

Physician Support & Case Fulfillment:

  • Assist physician reviewers with case-related or technical inquiries.
  • Source physicians for open service requests requiring urgent network recruitment and update daily on progress.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure network coverage aligns with specific physician specialties and client needs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as needed based on business requirements.
