An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates should have physician recruitment experience in a healthcare/insurance setting or equivalent transferable skills, with preferred business experience in healthcare and/or insurance. A working knowledge of physician networks, recruitment, medical specialties, and terminology is required, along with strong negotiation, communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills. The ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines, along with computer literacy and typing skills, is essential. Remote employees must supply and maintain their own internet services.
The Physician Coordinator will support network recruiting efforts and the physician onboarding process, including managing physician agreements via DocuSign and initiating credentialing. They will maintain physician profiles, negotiate costs and terms within guidelines, and coordinate exam space. Responsibilities also include answering and assisting callers for the Network team, updating physician panels, coordinating and monitoring physician training, providing dictation/AccessDS instructions, and assisting physicians with inquiries. The role involves sourcing, procuring, and scheduling exam locations, maintaining a database of locations, and coordinating with finance for vendor setup and payments. Additionally, the coordinator will answer incoming calls, assist callers, route calls appropriately, negotiate fees and volumes with reviewers, enhance peer engagement, and act as a physician liaison for payment inquiries, panel or system questions, training clarifications, and IT-related issues. They will designate physicians as Out-of-Office and compile/maintain specialty/client sub-panels. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
