Requirements

Candidates must possess at least two years of experience in health plan and/or provider network contract management. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent work experience will be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential, along with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and sensitivity to diverse populations.

Responsibilities

The Contract Management Specialist will manage contract administration activities, ensuring the appropriate use of contract templates, amendments, BAAs, and NDAs. Responsibilities include reviewing and redlining contracts, tracking version control, supporting contract negotiations, and facilitating electronic execution. The specialist will maintain organizational databases with proposals and rates, assist with provider contract rate analysis, and coordinate provider onboarding and offboarding, including termination processes. They will also consult with legal counsel on contractual terms, manage deliverable deadlines, disseminate contract notifications, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and job aids. Adherence to Federal and State laws, including HIPAA and privacy regulations, is mandatory.
