Requirements

Act as a role model demonstrating genuine care and setting standards for the pharmacy team
Exhibit best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing meaningful patient counseling, and abiding by legal and regulatory guidelines
Lead and develop a pharmacy team, including onboarding new hires and recognizing colleagues
Oversee pharmacy team during bench shifts with effective coaching and follow-up
Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Demonstrate empathy, genuine care, and compassionate care; collaborate with healthcare teams and resolve issues
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory, following best practices especially for cold chain products
Conduct onboarding and training for new Technicians and Pharmacists on CVS workflow, ensuring timely completion
Ensure full compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed
Partner with Store Manager to maintain talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues and ensure their training completion
Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists, managing performance through observation, feedback, reviews, and gap closure

Responsibilities

Manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Strengthen pharmacy performance measures through coaching and follow-up
Direct pharmacy team to follow workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by coaching team on empathy and issue resolution
Support effective pharmacy inventory management and cold chain protection
Conduct new hire onboarding and training for store and district
Maintain pharmacy operations compliance with regulations
Partner with Store Manager for cross-trained colleague pipeline
Manage performance of Staff Pharmacists and DPSs, including annual reviews
