Act as a role model demonstrating genuine care and setting standards for the pharmacy team
Lead and develop a pharmacy team providing exceptional patient care, promoting best practices, and addressing performance opportunities
Support novel program awareness, onboard new pharmacy team members, and recognize colleagues for success
Exhibit best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing meaningful patient counseling, and abiding by legal and regulatory guidelines

Responsibilities

Live the company's purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee the pharmacy team during bench shifts, strengthening performance measures through effective coaching and consistent follow-up
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing adherence to pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and proactively resolving insurance/medication issues; coach team to do the same
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; identify, engage, and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching adherence to best practices, with focus on protecting cold chain products
Conduct new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding for store and district, including CVS workflow training, ensuring timely completion of required training/licensure
Ensure full compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues to Rx DL as needed
Partner with Store Manager to maintain talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues for pharmacy work, ensuring timely training completion for licensure
Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable), manage performance via observation, feedback, validation; deliver annual reviews and close gaps
