Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a SaaS environment. Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations (including TDS, Form 16, and eTDS), and statutory compliance is essential. Experience with payroll software and data analysis is also required.

Responsibilities

As the Payroll Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of payroll, liaising with the Operations Team to address payroll errors, and updating payroll software to accommodate legislative changes. You will also prepare and submit weekly/monthly MIS reports, maintain payroll documents, review team performance, rotate staff to various payroll processes, test new functionality, handle payroll queries, conduct audits, and manage team attrition. Additionally, you will be involved in client onboarding, eTDS filing, Form 16 preparation, coordinating with clients, and providing training to new team members, as well as exploring avenues for improvement and preparing robust action plans to resolve issues.
