Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess proven experience managing global payroll operations in a complex, international business environment, solid knowledge of payroll and tax legislation in multiple countries, including Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and the US, strong stakeholder collaboration skills, hands-on experience with payroll systems, expense platforms, and HRIS tools, a structured and detail-oriented approach to managing compliance-heavy processes, and fluency in English, with additional Nordic language skills being a plus.

Responsibilities

As the Global Payroll Manager, you will deliver accurate and timely payroll services for several Karo entities across Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the US (shadow payroll), and the UK, own the full payroll cycle from pre-payroll administration to processing and reporting, oversee outsourced payroll providers ensuring compliance, report payroll data to stakeholders, act as a subject-matter expert for payroll legislation, manage pension and insurance processes, lead systems for Time & Attendance, travel/expense reporting, and car leasing portals, support training, collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Business Control, and Legal, and drive harmonization and scalability through global policies and best practices.
