Global Payroll Manager

Salary Range: $89,000 - $102,000 USD Location Type: Remote-First Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

Are you ready to build, design, automate, and manage payroll operations across the globe? As our Global Payroll Manager, you will oversee the entire payroll process for employees and contractors worldwide, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. You will partner closely with People, Finance, and Legal teams to maintain seamless and scalable payroll operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Own: Command the entire payroll process, both regular and off-cycle, for our global roster of employees and contractors.
  • Be the Expert: Serve as the go-to resource for all payroll-related matters, including bonuses, taxes, benefits, and currencies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and international payroll regulations.
  • Audit with Precision: Scrutinize payroll journals, prepare reconciliations, and handle variances with exceptional accuracy.
  • Solve with a Smile: Respond to payroll inquiries quickly, clearly, and with a positive attitude.
  • Manage with Authority: Hold third-party payroll providers accountable and effectively manage vendor relationships.
  • Innovate and Automate: Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, champion automation initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support and Partner: Collaborate effectively with People, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure smooth, compliant, and scalable payroll operations.

Requirements

  • Detail-Oriented Dynamo: Possess legendary attention to detail; the phrase "Oops, I forgot" is not in your vocabulary.
  • Workday Whiz: Proven expertise and hands-on experience with Workday.
  • Experienced: A minimum of 5+ years in hands-on payroll management within a global environment.
  • Unflappable: Ability to remain calm under pressure and effortlessly juggle shifting priorities.
  • Strong Communicator: Skilled at breaking down complex topics and communicating effectively, including through digital means.
  • Global Payroll Providers: Experience working with platforms like Deel or similar.
  • Automation Enthusiast: Demonstrated experience managing multi-country payroll and a passion for streamlining and automating processes.
  • Startup Star (Preferred): Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
