Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution and have over 5 years of payroll and HR experience with specific expertise in Indian payroll regulations and policies. Strong working knowledge of local payroll and HR regulations, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

The Payroll Expert will serve as a regional subject matter expert, owning end-to-end payroll execution for India, including evaluating and selecting relevant software, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, and preparing/reconciling internal payroll reports. This role involves owning critical local payroll and HR processes, managing involuntary deductions, supporting employee onboarding and offboarding, scheduling payroll expense collections, and reconciling expenses. The expert will assess and improve rapid growth processes, stay informed of regulatory changes, communicate key changes across teams, and work cross-functionally to provide expertise on local payroll and HR matters, while also answering complex payroll and HR related questions from employees and clients.
