Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field and have over 5 years of payroll and HR experience in China. A strong understanding of local Chinese payroll and HR regulations and policies is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines accurately, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills are also required to explain complex issues.
The Payroll Expert will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll execution in China, including selecting and implementing payroll software, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, and preparing/reconciling payroll reports for compliance with local tax authorities. This role involves owning critical local payroll and HR processes, managing involuntary deductions, supporting employee onboarding and offboarding, scheduling payroll expense collections, and reconciling expenses. The expert will also assess and improve rapid growth processes, stay updated on regulatory changes, communicate these changes across teams, and provide expertise on local payroll and HR matters to employees and clients.
