Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, and/or Accounting, with CPA and/or CPP preferred but not required. A minimum of 3+ years of relevant and progressive payroll experience is required, with public company payroll experience preferred. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is necessary, while Workday HCM experience is a plus. A basic understanding of accounting, taxation, and finance concepts as they relate to payroll is essential, along with proficiency in utilizing various software applications such as Google Suite and Microsoft Excel. Exceptional organizational skills, communication abilities, and the capacity to think outside the box are also required.
The Payroll Analyst will process US payroll runs on a bi-weekly basis for over 4,000 employees across 48 states. They will analyze and detect opportunities for improvement in payroll processes and recommend scalable best practices. The analyst will provide standard and ad-hoc payroll reports to various internal departments and assist the Payroll team with compliance-related matters, including multi-jurisdiction tax withholdings and annual audits. They will research and resolve tax notices from federal, state, and local tax agencies, support projects involving process enhancements and system integrations, and maintain payroll documentation. Additionally, they will perform data reconciliation and audits to ensure data integrity across multiple systems.
