Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and must be certified as an Optician by the American Board of Opticianry (ABO) or equivalent. Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team are required, along with the ability to interpret and apply business data for strategic decision-making. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary to interact with members and lab personnel.
The Optical Manager will oversee all aspects of the optical department, including managing and coaching optical team members, confirming appointments, and ensuring member satisfaction. They will also serve as a liaison between the club and the lab, processing orders and ensuring timely fulfillment. Furthermore, the Optical Manager will be responsible for maintaining department upkeep, implementing training programs, and driving a culture of collaboration and development within the team, while adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
