Requirements

  • B.S in Engineering preferred – Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with lean concepts and tools
  • Digital literacy (MS Office, MS Windows, Email, ERP)
  • Familiar with and experience in lean fundamentals – Lean Basics, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, Standard Work, Problem Solving, Handling for Daily Improvement (MDI), etc

Responsibilities

  • Identify and collaborate with multi-functional teams within the value stream while influencing without authority
  • Map warehouse facility with CAD Software
  • Work with site teams to map current processes and identify process breakdowns
  • Assist in rollout of new technological and process solutions within the warehouse operational environment, including Labor Management System (LMS)
  • Identify, initiate, and facilitate continuous improvements, lean activities, and initiatives, such as 6S, Root Cause Problem Solving, Kaizen, and visual management
  • Achieve objectives through fact-based and KPI-driven decisions
  • Implement the most cost and time-efficient techniques for dealing with challenges as they arise
  • Ensure thorough and timely root cause analysis and implement mitigation and solution actions eliminating recurrence in operations
  • Facilitate standardization of processes and continuous improvement of training materials, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work
  • Ensure products are provided to customers on time so that product quality, yield, operating costs, and process efficiencies are met
  • Assist in operational deployment of the Baxter Operating System (BOS)
  • Directly support the UCAN Logistics Network with associated key functions in the identification and implementation of continuous improvements that generate Margin Improvement Projects
  • Coordinate the training and qualification of staff and distribution, contributing to the continuous improvement of warehouse and distribution processes
  • Use machines, devices, tools, transport equipment, and other means correctly
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly
  • Use safety devices correctly
  • Propose solutions to improve the safety of working conditions
