Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, etc.) or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 – 12 years of experience in aerospace product design and sustainment
  • Experience with drawings and BOMs; Engineering Change systems; Quality systems for non-conforming parts and corrective action
  • Experience with product manufacturing and product configuration processes
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team in an engineering environment
  • Project Management Experience a plus
  • Proficient with MS Office applications and other office productivity tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of new features and improvements to products
  • Lead failure investigations
  • Work with Product Line Managers to develop product roadmaps
  • Approve product documentation and engineering change requests/orders
  • Lead the technical team to fulfill program technical, schedule, and cost requirements
  • Work with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to support the product
  • Develop plans for product IRAD and sustaining projects
  • Develop technical content for proposals and lead technical volume creation
  • Present technical concepts to customers
  • Identify and assign program/project technical tasks
  • Manage development and approval of engineering estimates
  • Contribute to the Chief Engineering skill group
  • Lead multi-discipline engineering activities and mentor engineers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
