Candidates must have proven embedded sales experience, ideally within data infrastructure, databases, open source, messaging, or big data. Specific experience with MSPs and/or tertiary cloud service providers is highly preferred. A hunter mentality with a proven ability to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities is essential, along with strong technical acumen in data streaming concepts, Kafka, and the Confluent platform. The role requires a results-oriented approach and the ability to proactively prospect and develop a robust sales pipeline.
The OEM Account Executive will drive revenue growth by acquiring, building, and managing strategic partnerships with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Cloud Service Providers to embed Confluent's streaming platform. This includes developing and executing a regional go-to-market strategy, defining clear objectives and KPIs, and creating targeted sales campaigns. The role involves engaging with key stakeholders to understand pain points, presenting tailored solutions, negotiating partnership agreements, and providing ongoing support to ensure partner success. Responsibilities also include evangelizing Confluent's platform, developing compelling sales presentations, collaborating with partners on joint go-to-market plans, and staying informed about the evolving data streaming landscape.
