Position Overview

Qualified is the Agentic Marketing Platform for B2B companies. With Piper, the AI SDR Agent, Qualified offers a whole new way to grow inbound pipeline. Piper operates across both the website and email, working to engage website visitors, capture leads, and convert buyers into pipeline around the clock. Our product teams build Piper, our AI SDR, to power chat, email, content, and website features. We’re looking for an experienced full stack engineer to help architect our LLM-based products and take them to the next level. This role is focused on ensuring Piper, our AI SDR, is built on top of the most cutting-edge LLM concepts, and you will drive the direction of our product architecture. You’ll be working across teams in Conversations, Email, and Content. You will work alongside product and design, with a deep understanding of our product goals, to maximize the business impact of the products we ship.

Responsibilities

  • Research, Develop & Ship: Understand the latest technical achievements in LLM and generative AI, and bring in what will make Piper the best AI SDR in the market.
  • Technical Leadership: Design the prompt, eval framework, and other systems across teams that power our AI, and be our standard bearer for system quality.
  • Collaborate & Plan: Work across engineering, product, and design to make the right decisions on what we should build, focusing on business impact.
  • Hands-On Development: Write high-quality, clean code in our primary stacks (Rails & React).

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in software development (Staff/Principal level), ideally working on large-scale SaaS products.
  • Proficiency in Rails & React (or similar web frameworks) and relational databases.
  • Track Record of Technical Leadership, including experience shaping roadmaps, making high-stakes decisions, and delivering complex features end-to-end.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Able to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and drive alignment in cross-functional settings.
  • Passion for Mentorship: Committed to growing and inspiring engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
