  • 3+ years in account management, preferably selling to utilities or government agencies
  • Advanced negotiation skills for high-value contracts

Responsibilities

  • Own the Territory: Develop and execute a strategic plan to penetrate new markets and expand existing accounts
  • Drive Sales Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets for municipal and utility products, including Residential, Commercial, AMR, and AMI solutions
  • Be a Hunter: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through frequent, targeted visits and relationship-building
  • Influence & Negotiate: Secure multi-million-dollar contracts by presenting compelling solutions and negotiating terms within authorized limits
  • Collaborate for Success: Partner with alliance partners and manage authorized distributors to maximize coverage and growth
  • Stay Ahead: Provide customers with updates on product innovations and industry trends; represent Badger Meter at regional trade shows and national conventions
  • Report & Analyze: Deliver accurate territory reports, competitive intelligence, and market insights using CRM tools to inform strategy and decision-making
