Your Role at Bolt

As a Mid-Market Sales Account Executive, you will be instrumental in expanding Bolt’s presence among fast-growing ecommerce and fintech merchants. You will lead end-to-end strategic sales engagements, from identifying opportunities and shaping solutions to closing deals that help customers scale with Bolt’s seamless checkout technology. This is a high-impact role for a consultative, data-driven seller experienced in understanding the challenges of mid-sized merchants and building lasting relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing, for a portfolio of mid-market ecommerce and fintech merchants.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that align Bolt’s capabilities with prospective merchants' goals.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of high-value opportunities, collaborating with marketing and partnerships for lead generation and deal acceleration.
  • Deliver tailored product demos and proposals that address the needs of both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding the unique pain points of mid-sized merchants and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Partnerships, and Implementation teams to ensure a seamless sales-to-onboarding transition.
  • Accurately track and manage activity and pipeline using Salesforce and other sales tools.
  • Represent Bolt at industry events and conferences to enhance brand presence and generate new leads.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5-8 years of sales experience, with a focus on ecommerce, fintech, or payment technology sectors.
  • Deal Closing: Demonstrated success in closing mid-market deals and managing longer, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the ecommerce ecosystem, including checkout, fraud, payments, platforms, and merchant pain points.
  • Sales Skills: Consultative selling skills with an emphasis on uncovering needs and delivering tailored, value-driven solutions.
  • Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally and navigating complex deal structures.
  • Tech Stack Fluency: Proficiency with sales tech stack tools such as Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, etc.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Bonus: Experience at a high-growth startup or selling a platform-based product.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated On-Target Earnings: $160,000 - $165,000 USD (cash compensation, including base salary and commission).
  • Equity: Potential for equity depending on experience.
