Requirements

Candidates should possess advanced communication skills, an ability to type 70 words per minute or higher, a basic level of medical knowledge, and a willingness to learn quickly. Applicants are expected to demonstrate commitment to ongoing learning, an interest in a full-time opportunity, and the ability and willingness to take direction and be a member of a team providing patient care. Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by people in the communities served is necessary where applicable, along with compliance with hospital and Oak Street Health policies, including HIPAA.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS) will observe and record patient encounters and examinations, document patient information, history, and diagnoses, assist in medical management, document medical decision-making, and consult with the care team and other providers on patient needs. They will also facilitate efficient and effective medical care for patients, perform other duties as assigned, and maintain reliability while adhering to hospital and Oak Street Health policies.
