The role demands the ability to work independently and assume individual initiative.
The Medical Data Annotation Specialist will plan, coordinate, and monitor data annotation projects from initiation to delivery. They will collaborate with research, product, healthcare provider, and UI/UX teams to identify elements needing annotation and create detailed instruction sets. This role involves leading scaled annotation efforts with external teams, managing the annotation workforce by assigning tasks and tracking productivity, and implementing quality assurance protocols to ensure data accuracy. Additionally, the specialist will proactively identify project risks, take corrective actions, adhere to federal regulations and healthcare industry standards for coding compliance, and protect patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
