About Abridge

Abridge was founded in 2018 with the mission of powering deeper understanding in healthcare. Our AI-powered platform was purpose-built for medical conversations, improving clinical documentation efficiencies while enabling clinicians to focus on what matters most—their patients.

Our enterprise-grade technology transforms patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes in real-time, with deep EMR integrations. Powered by Linked Evidence and our purpose-built, auditable AI, we are the only company that maps AI-generated summaries to ground truth, helping providers quickly trust and verify the output. As pioneers in generative AI for healthcare, we are setting the industry standards for the responsible deployment of AI across health systems.

We are a growing team of practicing MDs, AI scientists, PhDs, creatives, technologists, and engineers working together to empower people and make care make more sense. We have offices located in the Mission District in San Francisco, the SoHo neighborhood of New York, and East Liberty in Pittsburgh.

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Data Annotation Specialist to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality data annotation projects. • Proactively identify project risks and take corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to federal regulations, payer policies, and healthcare industry standards to ensure coding compliance.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Protect patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

What You'll Bring

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Billing Knowledge: Understanding of medical billing processes and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Educational Background: Medical training in areas such as pre-med, nursing, pharmacy, or international medical programs. US board credentials are not required.

  • Ethics and Confidentiality: Commitment to maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated on industry changes and best practices.
  • Initiative: Ability to work independently and assume individual initiative.

Commitment to the Role

This position is fully remote but requires a commitment to excellence and attention to detail. We value dedicated individuals who are passionate about healthcare and medical coding.

This is a fully remote position but may involve occasional team meetings or training sessions.
