Requirements

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in data annotation operations, ML data workflows, or software/data engineering. Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data handling, including JSON, JSONL, and CSV formats, is essential. Experience with annotation tooling such as Scale AI, Labelbox, or SuperAnnotate is highly preferred, as is comfort working with AWS S3 and cloud-based storage pipelines. Strong communication skills to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are required, along with experience in multi-stage annotation workflows or model-in-the-loop systems. Familiarity with telemetry systems, GenAI/LLM training environments, or RLHF pipelines is a bonus.

Responsibilities

The Data Operations Specialist will set up, test, and maintain UI configurations for annotation tasks using various platforms. They will build and adapt Python-based automation scripts for annotation pipelines, data processing, logging, and telemetry. Responsibilities include collaborating with researchers, engineers, PMs, and annotators to gather requirements and design workflows, and owning projects end-to-end from requirement gathering to dataset delivery. The specialist will track progress, manage risks, implement corrective actions, and troubleshoot issues related to UI, pipelines, and data formatting. They will also document workflows, contribute to internal tools and playbooks, and support annotation operations across varied data types, with a focus on LLMs and GenAI training.
