Requirements

  • Two year degree in the mechanical field, electrical field, or a completed accredited apprenticeship
  • Five years of experience in machining, mechanical, or electrical maintenance
  • Preferred: Four (4) year Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Strong technical experience with high voltage systems, motor control, and process automation
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and troubleshooting of mechanical operations
  • Preferred: Experience supervising in a union environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, and be exposed to physical hazards, elevated noise levels, vibrations, and extreme cold and heat
  • Ability to effectively manage change
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Eligible to work in the USA

Responsibilities

  • Supervise an assigned maintenance crew
  • Coordinate with operations
  • Implement a preventive maintenance program
  • Plan and follow through on maintenance repairs
  • Develop new skill levels for members of assigned maintenance crews
  • Enforce company policies and train the workforce on safe work practices
  • Schedule employee training sessions and meetings
  • Maintain the KRONOS pay system by reviewing, editing, and approving employee timecards daily
  • Assist in procuring, organizing, and inventorying parts and materials needed for repairs
  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles
