High-school degree or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
3+ years related manufacturing experience or equivalent technical/vocational experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; highly motivated and responsible; work well in a team environment
Use of computers and PLCs in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMP's, and general instructions
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out oral and written instructions
Regularly stand and walk (minimum 70% of time); work 8-hour shifts (up to 16 hours); lift 50 pounds; squat, kneel, bend frequently; climb steps frequently
Ability to work in cold and hot environments; tolerate exposure to flour and yeast
Ability to perform essential job functions consistent with safety standards
Responsibilities
Work assigned afternoon/evening shifts (can alternate weekly) with required attendance and weekend work
Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
Produce high quality products in a safe and healthful manner
Operate high-speed manufacturing production equipment in processing and packaging areas
Work in all areas of processing and packaging, including operating machinery, being in close proximity, and crossing platforms over machinery
Participate in cross-training throughout the facility in all aspects of high-speed manufacturing
Work as part of a team and assist fellow employees as needed
