Candidates should possess 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven experience managing a manufacturing plant, preferably in robotics, automation, electronics, or advanced manufacturing. They should have knowledge of implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing principles and methodologies, along with experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and production planning tools.
The Manufacturing Plant Manager will direct and coordinate all manufacturing activities, including production planning, workflow optimization, and resource allocation. They will lead, train, and mentor the entire manufacturing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence while maximizing performance and productivity. The role involves managing production schedules to meet delivery commitments and optimizing plant utilization, developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in production, collaborating with engineering on new product introduction (NPI) and existing product revisions, and collaborating with supply chain to manage demand forecasting inputs, material requirements planning (MRP), and inventory control. Additionally, the manager will monitor plant KPIs and metrics, analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, ensure compliance with safety regulations, manage manufacturing budgets, and find practical means to optimize production processes.
