Candidates should possess 7+ years of experience in Advanced Manufacturing and high-speed custom automation, including Automation Engineering, Process Engineering, and Technical Program Management. They should have a strong background in prioritizing tasks for AME’s and Suppliers from Conceptual Design through SAT and Production Team Training, and experience managing high-budget projects and tracking spend with external vendors. Previous experience in Value Engineering, contract engagement, managing NRE, and RFQ to PO issuance process is desired. Strong technical skills, involving problem-solving and issue root-causing in a high-pressure environment are required, along with the ability to run automation programs with minimal supervision. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is necessary.
The Technical Program Manager will take the lead in driving the technical, operational, and lifecycle of various manufacturing automation initiatives within the organization, innovating factory processes, concepts, and design to enable an ideal automated manufacturing process. They will work closely with factory teams to create and achieve OKRs for automation and continuous improvement programs, draft requirements documents, develop concepts, and envision the automated manufacturing process. The role involves creating RFQs/RFPs, engaging with vendors to construct machines, ensuring alignment with Dandy’s specifications and standards, approving vendor process and design, designing and executing FAT/SAT, and integrating automated equipment into factories. Additionally, the Program Manager will supervise and report OEE, Yield, and manufacturing metrics, interpret machine output metrics to drive improvement programs, and provide routine status reporting to executives and escalate issues as needed, setting bold targets and driving plans to achieve them. They will also partner with cross-functional teams and travel internationally as required.
