Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in analytics or data engineering, with at least 2 years in a team lead or management role. Deep expertise in SQL, dbt, and modeling data sets in cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift is required. Experience with tools like Looker, Census, and workflow orchestrators like Airflow or Dagster, as well as familiarity with Python for scripting, is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Manager/Senior Manager of Analytics Engineering will lead a team of analytics engineers, mentor team members, and foster technical excellence. They will define the analytics engineering roadmap, align on core metrics and semantic layers, and partner with Data Engineering to improve the data platform. Responsibilities also include owning the development of data models in dbt, building data pipelines and LookML models, contributing to reverse ETL pipelines, implementing quality controls, and staying current with data stack advancements. Additionally, the role involves translating business requirements into data solutions, enabling self-service analytics, advocating for data best practices, and representing the Analytics Engineering function in cross-functional initiatives.
