Fleet Asset Manager
Position Overview
World Kinect is seeking a Fleet Asset Manager to oversee fleet processes in the U.S. Central Region. This role is crucial for developing policies and procedures to meet organizational equipment needs, managing budgets, and ensuring the efficient movement and maintenance of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
Fleet Management
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of company-owned commercial vehicles, optimizing their utilization and ensuring safe operations.
- Create and implement policies and procedures to meet equipment needs.
- Participate in the development and approval of equipment-related budgets.
- Evaluate and select equipment vendors, making rent vs. buy decisions.
- Manage the movement of equipment to and from active worksites, tracking and coordinating inspections.
- Arrange for preventative maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate training sessions for equipment operators.
- Create and manage performance metrics and KPIs to measure fleet policy compliance, asset utilization, cost, and sustainability.
- Define and apply best-in-class maintenance and repair practices for company assets.
Shop Management
- Oversee WKC Shops and Mechanics within the region.
Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure all vehicles comply with emission testing and state-required inspections.
- Support DOT regulatory compliance and driver safety efforts.
Electric Vehicle Program
- Implement charging stations and manage electric vehicle programs.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Relationships
- Work with Directors, Operation Managers, PDCs, Drivers, and Mechanics to analyze costs and manage assets.
- Establish collaborative relationships with WKC lines of business, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Direct Reports
Travel Requirements
Moderate travel within the assigned regional location, including occasional trips to support shops and vendors. Some nights out may be required.
