The Fleet Asset Manager should possess a Bachelor’s degree and have experience in fleet management, preferably with commercial vehicles. Strong budgeting and vendor management skills are required, along with the ability to develop and implement policies and procedures. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards is essential, as is the capacity to oversee equipment maintenance and coordinate equipment movement.
As the Fleet Asset Manager, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of company-owned commercial vehicles, optimizing their utilization and ensuring safe operations. You will develop and implement policies and procedures to meet equipment needs, manage budgets, evaluate and select equipment vendors, arrange for preventative maintenance and repairs, coordinate training sessions, and manage the movement of equipment to and from active worksites. Additionally, you will oversee WKC Shops and Mechanics within the region, ensure compliance with emission testing and state-required inspections, implement charging stations and manage electric vehicle programs, create and manage performance metrics, define and apply best-in-class maintenance and repair practices, support DOT regulatory compliance, and establish collaborative relationships with various stakeholders.
