Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role or manufacturing environment
  • Preferred: 2-year degree in industrial technology or 3 years’ experience related to industrial electrical, industrial welding, or industrial plumbing
  • Experience with facility maintenance and equipment maintenance
  • Knowledge of sheet metal equipment (Laser and Press Brake preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding and experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Leadership qualities and self-starter attitude

Responsibilities

  • Assist Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing plant machinery and equipment
  • Gain knowledge of the facility-wide preventative maintenance program
  • Work with machine OEMs and troubleshoot/repair equipment
  • Utilize a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) application for managing work orders, repairs, and root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Perform facility and equipment audits
  • Communicate technical information through written and oral documentation
  • Ensure critical information is communicated during shift turnovers
  • Operate forklifts and company vehicles as required
  • Support Lean initiatives (6S, Kanban, Standardized Work, TPM, RCA, and Kaizen)
  • Participate in the Maintenance “On-Call” and shift rotation
  • Willingness to complete maintenance certification training
