Requirements

  • Combination of executive leadership and relationship building capability
  • Deep technical knowledge in Software Systems, Integrating Products, and Enterprise Management
  • Ability to serve as software engineering liaison to the business line, develop business cases, and create opportunities
  • Innovative problem-solving skills with ability to create and implement structure (people, processes, systems) for integrated software solutions linking customers to SmartPower hardware
  • Deep knowledge of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) software capability for Data Centers from Edge Compute to Hyperscale, including customer pain points and competition technology roadmaps
  • Ability to evaluate and determine technology solutions (embedded vs OS) for on-demand power, high reliability, and dynamic load management in Data Center Microgrids
  • Understanding of customers’ issues such as data latency, power availability, security, and critical infrastructure performance requirements
  • Expertise in defining software functional specifications in conjunction with hardware functional specifications
  • Ability to initiate discussions between software/hardware engineering stakeholders to harmonize strategies and solutions
  • Experience implementing software solutions including DER (Distributed Energy Resource) Compatibility – Interface Control Documentation (ICD) for grid-connected items and multiple power generation sources (solar, fuel cells, wind, geothermal)
  • Experience with Energy Storage Devices control and management, including integration to Battery Management Systems (BMS)

Responsibilities

  • Own Process Controls and Software technology roadmap, including software interface and control hardware
  • Build relationships with technical counterparts and attend industry and trade conferences
  • Leverage relationships with industry experts to drive standards and contribute to enabling technology adoption
  • Keep abreast of latest technology trends and capabilities in datacenter power management, including application of AI/ML based systems for best-in-class load and power management
  • Support and work closely with Business Development on forming strategic partnerships
