Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Master's degree preferred
Fluent in German and English
At least 5 years of experience
Proven experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in the automotive industry
Experience with complex systems and automotive customers
Experience designing parts for injection molding and sheet metal stamping
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction
Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software and tools
Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

Support pursuit engineering activities for automotive low voltage Lithium Ion batteries, Sodium Ion batteries, and super capacitors
Collaborate with automotive customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored mechanical solutions
Develop CAD models for supplier quoting and detailed design analysis
Work with in-house and external subject matter experts to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling to optimize designs
Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction
Provide technical support and guidance to customers throughout the project lifecycle
Work with cross-functional engineering team to design energy storage systems to meet customer requirements with a specific focus on design for cost
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical solutions
Conduct analysis, modeling, and simulations to ensure that the mechanical designs comply with customer requirements, manufacturing requirements, and automotive standards
