Requirements

Candidates must possess an active Secret security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship, and have at least three years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include experience supporting Windows 10, Linux, and Mac OSX operating systems, experience with business and engineering applications such as Microsoft Office, Matlab, Visual Studio, and VMWare, intermediate Active Directory skills, and Helpdesk or Desktop certifications like Linux+, Security+, or Network+.

Responsibilities

The IT Support Specialist will identify, research, and resolve technical issues for users, add to the IT knowledge base with detailed entries, treat issues as opportunities for user education, maintain hardware and software inventory, perform hands-on diagnostics, test issue remediation, create and maintain end-user documentation, create and administer Active Directory user accounts, provision new computers, create and test operating system images, support scanners, copiers, and workstations, provision phones and voicemail boxes, support the summer intern program, administer the ITSM system, order software and hardware, support server, user, and network administration, create Linux accounts, collaborate with the IT Team, and perform minor off-hours duties and on-call hours as needed, along with other duties as assigned.
