The Software Engineering Manager role is responsible for leading and managing a team of software engineers, including front-end, back-end, and full-stack engineers. The primary focus of this role will be on developing the people and processes that contribute to the timely delivery of innovative, secure, and high-quality solutions. This role will partner with DevSecOps and Software Architecture teams within MPC.
This is a hands-on management position, ensuring the successful design, development, testing, and maintenance of high-quality solutions to support the MPC business. To ensure success, you should have extensive experience in software engineering within dynamic environments with emerging technologies, coupled with the ability to solve complex business problems using technology. You should also develop a deep understanding of how our products are built and contribute technically to solutions. Furthermore, fostering strong working relationships with various Product Leaders and Discipline Leaders across the organization is crucial for optimal business outcomes.
The Software Engineering Manager will lead, guide, and set direction for the software engineering team. This includes responsibility for employee development, performance reviews, pay reviews, and staffing decisions.
