The Inside Sales Representative 2 (ISR) is responsible for professionally and creatively positioning and selling company products within a designated geographical region. This role involves engaging and qualifying new and existing customers, offering Illumina products as solutions to their projects and business needs, and collaborating with internal and field-based sales teams to achieve common sales goals. The ISR position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to work with leading academic institutions, research centers, and global business organizations, leveraging scientific knowledge and lab experience while selling for the world leader in Genomics. This is an internal sales position with minimal travel (10%).

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of Illumina’s technology and products, continuously learning as the product portfolio evolves.
  • Establish and execute strategies to acquire new customers and maintain/grow existing customer accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Make outbound contacts to existing and prospective customers to identify sales opportunities.
  • Employ an analytical approach to execute optimal solutions for issues or opportunities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to present versatile and unique solutions during customer negotiations to establish mutually beneficial circumstances.
  • Learn from each experience to become more effective in subsequent sales scenarios.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to drive and create revenue opportunities.
  • Manage customer relationships post-sale, including developing a strategy for long-term business relationships.
