Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science, along with proficient analytical skills and demonstrated technical sales or hands-on experience with scientific instrumentation. They must be comfortable leading discussions and giving presentations in-person or remotely, and possess the ability to make observations from market trends and customer demand.
The Instrument Sales Representative will schedule and coordinate face-to-face technical interactions with customers, lead product demonstrations in collaboration with the applications support team, provide input in technical consultation and problem-solving to meet customer needs, and meet or exceed established sales goals by delivering bookings commitments. They will also build and implement strategies and tactical plans to drive growth, identify, interpret, and respond to customer’s requirements, communicate bookings outlook to management, drive collaboration and accountability through improved sales pipeline and forecast management processes, and work with product management teams to make recommendations based on the understanding of marketing and new product plans. Additionally, they will be responsible for business travel up to 50% or as needed within the sales region.
