Candidates should possess a Life Science degree, with an advanced degree being a plus, and have at least 5 years of proven sales experience in life science capital equipment or molecular diagnostic sales. A strong technical background in molecular biology, sequencing, or genomics is preferred, along with understanding of the clinical, translational, and healthcare markets. Strong negotiation skills, a track record of growing targeted markets, and the ability to generate leads are also required.
The Sr Territory Account Manager will engage customers to effectively position and sell complex workflows, navigate a multi-tiered sales process, understand clinical and economic trends, provide sales forecasts, build and manage a sales pipeline, develop and execute sales plans, build and maintain customer relationships, deliver technical presentations, partner cross-functionally, and demonstrate command of scientific knowledge to engage in collaborative sales. They will also focus on developing high-value, long-term customer accounts and utilizing a hunter mentality to expand Illumina’s footprint and drive revenue within the Philadelphia healthcare market.
