Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or enablement within a SaaS or tech environment. Proficiency in Figma for visual design, prototyping, and collaboration is required, along with experience in e-learning and motion design tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, After Effects, or Premiere Pro. Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and performance-based learning is essential, as is the ability to translate technical concepts into intuitive learning assets and work autonomously in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with accessibility standards, SCORM/xAPI, learner feedback loops, and a willingness to work in person at the NYC office 4-5 days a week are also necessary.
The Instructional Designer will design and develop high-impact learning experiences for onboarding, product education, and performance enablement. This includes creating interactive guides, video explainers, motion graphics, and live training materials, while partnering with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to co-create content. The role involves using Figma for visual design and learning templates, leveraging motion and visual storytelling, conducting needs assessments and usability testing, and establishing frameworks to accelerate design outcomes. Regular content auditing and iteration are also key responsibilities to ensure accessibility, usability, and alignment with business goals.
