Proven experience in a large-scale data center or telecom environment is required, along with a solid understanding of physical design standards and IT security best practices. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software is essential, and experience with public cloud infrastructure and cloud-native applications is preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus.
The Infrastructure Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and creating layouts for data center infrastructure, including facilities structure, cabinets, and equipment. They will perform capacity planning, monitor and optimize performance, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues. Responsibilities also include implementing security measures, planning upgrades, documenting configurations, and staying updated on data center technologies. Utilizing AutoCAD for detailed technical drawings is a key part of the role.
