Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience as an IT architect/engineer/tech lead. A minimum of 10 years of engineering or design experience in developing complex IT infrastructure solutions, including enterprise-scale designs for networks, storage, and compute, is required. Experience designing complex IT infrastructure solutions incorporating cybersecurity best practices and certifications demonstrating expert-level knowledge in IT infrastructure specialties are necessary. Qualified US candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, as sponsorship for employment visa status will not be provided.
The Infrastructure Architect/Technical Lead will own large-scale initiatives and provide strategic and tactical guidance for Lilly Research Laboratories IT Infrastructure, encompassing networking, storage, and specialized computing. Responsibilities include building, improving, and refining a robust technical architecture for laboratory and clinical trial manufacturing solutions that integrate with Lilly’s enterprise infrastructure. The role involves promoting ideas and influencing decisions across multiple teams, challenging the status quo to improve processes and drive innovation, and coaching team members on specialized technologies. Additionally, the individual will design solutions for moderately complex problems, serve as a recognized expert in one or more technologies, and identify opportunities to enhance the system for greater business value.
