Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience, along with 8+ years of relevant work experience. Strong experience in designing and deploying GPU-accelerated computing infrastructure is required, as is in-depth knowledge of cluster orchestration and job scheduling technologies such as Slurm, Kubernetes, Ansible, and/or Open OnDemand. Expertise in systems monitoring, telemetry, and systems performance optimization of research computing environments, including familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and NVIDIA DCGM, is also necessary. Understanding of datacenter networking technologies (InfiniBand, Ethernet, OFED) and experience with network configuration is required, along with familiarity with power and cooling systems architecture for data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities

The Senior Solutions Architect will collaborate as a key technical advisor for the design, build-out, and optimization of university-level research computing infrastructures, supporting GPU-accelerated scientific workflows. They will work with university research computing to optimize hardware utilization with software orchestration tools and implement systems monitoring and management tools. The role involves documenting learnings through targeted training, whitepapers, blogs, and wiki articles, and collaborating with researchers to gather feature requests and product feedback. Additionally, the architect will deploy and evaluate cluster performance using benchmarks like MLPerf and/or HPL, and deliver technical training, workshops, or mentoring on HPC/AI systems.
