Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience (some positions may require 2+ years of technical training)
  • Typically 2-5 years of related experience
  • 2-5 years of related administrative support experience (previous lead role or process leadership experience is a plus)
  • Some higher education or vocational training specializing in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Management or a related field preferred
  • Excellent customer service focus, approach and attitude
  • Excellent planning, coordination and organizational skills
  • Ability to professionally prioritize conflicting and sometimes confidential demands in a front-line, customer-facing position
  • General office and business knowledge
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to work within defined organizational policies and procedures and willingness to suggest/implement process and efficiency improvements
  • Ability to apply privacy concepts rooted in core privacy principles, like Data Minimization, when collecting, using, or sharing personal information of job candidates and employees

Responsibilities

  • Greets job candidates and employees at the HR front desk and ensures a positive customer experience for candidates and guests
  • Answers employee benefit questions and provides leadership for the work of HR interns or temporaries
  • Provides administrative support to HR managers
  • Oversees day-to-day operations of HR front desk to provide professional and branded experiences for candidates interviewing for open positions
  • Responds to general employee questions regarding benefits enrollment, changes to benefits, benefit coverage, and HR practices/policies
  • Supports the benefits department in a variety of activities including data entry and auditing
  • Ensures smooth daily operations by maintaining and recommending changes to established policies and procedures
  • Leads assigned HR staff by providing daily assignments, direction, training, and follow-up
  • Supports the HR management team with general administrative duties including coordinating schedules, travel, reconciliation of expenses, communications, and other management requests
  • Maintains positive open lines of communication with management, staff, and other departments to contribute to smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the HR organization
  • Understands and applies appropriate data privacy protections when working with employee data
  • Performs other duties as assigned (5%)
