Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in HR Management
In-depth knowledge of German labor laws, employment practices and HR trends
Experienced in Recruiting, Learning & Development (OKR), and Change Management
Fluent in both German and English (written and verbal)
Experienced working in a US corporate headquartered and matrixed organization
Experienced building strong working and trustworthy relationships with works councils
Experienced dealing with Workday (HRIS)
Very good organization, time management and implementation skills
Familiar in working in a fast paced environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Motivated to build a future-oriented and healthy HR Landscape
Responsibilities
Drive the development of the HR function in Germany, ensuring transfer of knowledge and alignment with global HR policies and local market needs
Support the entity in continuous growth, approx. new 30-40 Headcounts yearly till 2028
Close collaboration with the CEO and C-Level and consult them in any HR-related matters
Lead and mentor the HR team in Germany (1 direct report), promoting a collaborative culture
Partner with senior leaders to support organizational goals, workforce planning, and change management initiatives
Collaboration with external recruitment agencies and labor law agency
Oversee strategies to attract top talent and support managers in identifying and developing key talent
Undertaking talent reviews, focusing on succession planning and development
Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with German labor laws and regulations
Act as the point of contact for employee relations matters
Drive performance management processes, employee development programs, and succession planning
Provision of appropriate support to Line Managers in the management of poor performers
Delivery of change programmes driven by business needs
Maintain a positive relationship and collaboration with the Works Council (transitionally 2 Works Councils)
Ensuring the monthly payroll processing
Oversee all HR operations in Germany, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and organizational development
