Requirements

Candidates should possess a Licensed Nurse (RN, LPN, or LVN) with a strong background in long-term community-based care, preferably with a Bachelor’s degree and current state licensure in good standing, along with a valid state driver’s license and familiarity with dementia-care practices and communication strategies. Applicants should also have previous supervisory and/or management experience in a healthcare setting, strong documentation skills, basic computer skills including Word and Excel, and the ability to meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure, maintain current CPR/First Aid credentials, and Food Handlers credentials, and annual Continuing Education credits.

Responsibilities

The Health and Wellness Director will provide leadership and support to resident care services, ensuring resident care is delivered safely and effectively while upholding resident rights and compliance with regulations. They will supervise care team members, including hiring, training, and evaluating, develop and monitor care department schedules, and represent the community in a positive and professional manner, while also assisting the Executive Director with other management duties as needed.
