TekmetricFull Time
Entry Level & New Grad, Junior (1 to 2 years)
Candidates should have experience in a full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. Prior experience in education/edtech is strongly preferred, as is experience in a recruiting leadership role. Proven success in sourcing and hiring for diverse roles, from individual contributors to leadership positions across multiple functions, is essential. A builder mentality, strong communication skills, high agency, and excellent organizational skills are also required.
The Head of Talent will partner with the founder, hiring managers, and finance to lead headcount planning and workforce forecasting. They will own end-to-end recruiting, from sourcing to close, focusing on quality, speed, and candidate experience. Responsibilities include partnering with hiring managers to understand needs and build candidate pipelines, developing candidate outreach strategies, and building/refining scalable recruiting processes, tools, and metrics. The role also involves managing internal hiring infrastructure, conducting first-round screening calls, providing hiring managers with best practices, representing Primer to candidates, and tracking/reporting on recruiting progress and metrics.
Personalized K-8 education through Microschools
Primer provides personalized educational experiences through its Microschools, which are small, community-based institutions for K-8 students. These Microschools allow children to learn at their own pace and explore their interests, focusing on individual creativity and original thinking rather than a standardized curriculum. Unlike traditional schools, Primer emphasizes a flexible and tailored approach to education, catering to families seeking alternatives to conventional systems. The company actively involves parents in the educational process, fostering a collaborative environment. Primer operates on a tuition-based model but offers personalized payment plans and financial aid to ensure accessibility for a wider range of families. The goal is to create a more engaging and effective learning experience for children.
