Head of Network Forecasting
Position Overview
The objective of the Head of Network Forecasting is to create and manage forecasts at all key supply chain nodes, from vendors to fulfillment locations, cross-border transportation, domestic injection points, and domestic returns facilities.
Responsibilities
- Forecast Orders, Units, and Inventory Levels at all key fulfillment locations by month, week, and day.
- Partner closely with the internal global logistics team to share forecasts, review results, and troubleshoot variances weekly.
- Perform analytics to answer questions that will lead to improved KPI performance.
- Perform analytics to increase efficiency across the supply chain, including optimization based fulfillment logic, order affinity, and forward inventory positioning on shore or near shore.
- Present Forecasts, Strategy, and Plans weekly to executives.
- May manage 1 or more individuals.
Qualifications
- 6+ years in Logistics Planning, Inventory Planning, or related Analytics or Technology roles.
- College Degree Required; MBA or Masters in Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Cross-border experience preferred.
- Thorough understanding of the connectivity of all points within a supply chain and the impacts one location has on another in an e-commerce business.
- Strong Analytic Skills with experience using advanced statistical functions in Excel.
- Ability to source and organize disparate data for operational use and conversion of reporting and tools into scalable technology applications.
- Experience prototyping Inventory Optimization Techniques.
- The ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to maximize opportunities and minimize risks.
- Strong commitment to continuously improve.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment where established processes may not exist.
