Responsibilities

  • Recruit, organize, and manage program coaching staff including scheduling, performance planning, and evaluation
  • Assist in hiring, training, and managing alpine administration staff within budget
  • Provide leadership for daily training of program participants
  • Communicate effectively with parents and athletes
  • Prepare and implement technical teaching progressions, methodologies, and content for daily training in conjunction with Program Senior Manager/Director
  • Ensure high safety standards in all training environments
  • Maintain and store facilities and equipment properly
  • Conduct video analysis sessions with participants regularly
  • Hold athlete goal setting meetings at start of year, review throughout season, and at end of season
  • Coordinate team travel to local, regional, and national competitions, including supervision, transportation, lodging, and on-hill coaching
  • Provide daily positive feedback and submit mid-season and year-end written evaluations
  • Assist athletes and families in obtaining equipment from manufacturers
  • Participate in coaches meetings, briefings, and professional functions as directed
  • Provide regular feedback and evaluation to freeride coaching staff
  • Plan spring, summer, and fall on/off-snow camps and dry land activities with Senior Manager/Director and Sports Performance Manager
  • Maintain friendly attitude, report unsafe conditions, attend weekly director meetings, enforce code-of-conduct, and address breaches
