Group Director of Media Strategy

Employment Type: Full Time Location Type: Remote-first (US-based with potential exclusions) Salary: $165,000 - $190,000 annually (plus bonus and benefits)

Position Overview

As Group Director of Media Strategy at Wpromote, you will be a senior strategic leader responsible for driving integrated marketing solutions across a portfolio of high-impact clients. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of strategists, shaping audience insights, developing media mixes, optimizing creative strategy, and implementing full-funnel measurement strategies. You will partner directly with senior clients to address complex business challenges and drive growth in both revenue and talent. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy opportunity to influence agency growth, manage a book of business, and establish excellence in media strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a pod of media strategists, including supporting their books of business.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, industries, and competitive landscapes.
  • Oversee and elevate planning and strategy sessions with clients to ensure alignment between KPIs, business goals, and marketing objectives.
  • Lead the development of integrated media strategies and full-funnel measurement frameworks.
  • Provide strategic guidance on audience insights and media mix optimization.
  • Ensure creative strategy is aligned and optimized for media execution.
  • Engage with senior-level clients to solve complex business challenges.
  • Collaborate across departments to scale best practices and elevate strategic thinking.
  • Build and nurture strong, future-forward client relationships.
  • Contribute to agency growth and talent development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior media strategy role, with a focus on integrated marketing solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of strategists.
  • Expertise in audience insights, media mix development, and full-funnel measurement.
  • Strong client-facing skills and experience partnering with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance executive-level client engagement with hands-on team leadership.
  • Experience in growing revenue and developing talent within an agency setting.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
