Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience. Proven experience leading NPI projects in the field of autonomous systems or maritime technology is required. Strong technical expertise in autonomous navigation, sensor integration, and control algorithms is essential, along with proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach to technical challenges are necessary, as well as strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and mentor a team. Knowledge of DoD regulations related to autonomous systems and prior experience on defense-related projects are a plus.
The Floor Supervisor will lead and manage NPI projects related to autonomous surface vessels while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient project execution. They will drive innovation through research, prototyping, and testing of technologies related to ASVs. Maintaining high-quality standards in NPI activities and implementing rigorous testing and validation procedures to ensure reliability are critical. The supervisor will also develop and manage NPI budgets, enforce safety protocols, and maintain detailed records of activities, generating reports to communicate progress to stakeholders. Additionally, they will foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
